5 photoshoot locations near Nashville TN

So you’re recently engaged (congratulations btw!) and you’re looking for the perfect location for your next photoshoot in or around Nashville? There’s tons of great options and I know it can be overwhelming so allow me to help! Here’s my top 5 photoshoot locations near Nashville Tn.

Photoshoot location 1 : Centennial Park in Nashville

First up on my list of photoshoot locations near Nashville TN is Centennial park located in the middle of Nashville. Centennial park is the perfect spot for newly engaged couples to take their photos at. From the sunken gardens to the great lawn and even lake Watagua, there’s no shortage of location options here. Its website described this location as “a vibrant urban green space that has been Nashville’s central and cultural park since its inception” Centennial park homes the Parthenon museum and hosts many events. The park is open from dawn until 11pm everyday. Its long hours make it the perfect place for a sunset photoshoot.

Photoshoot location 2 : John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

The Pedestrian bridge would be the perfect location for a couple wanting a fun city or urban feel to their photos. I recommend this option if you are wanting to make a date out of your photoshoot. There are tons of dining and entertainment options nearby.

Photoshoot location 3 : Long Hunter State Park

Long Hunter State park is located in Hermitage, Tn and is approximately 40 minutes from Nashville. This beautiful state park has four sections : Couchville , Baker’s Grove, Bryant Grove and Sellars Farm. This location has tons of variety making it the perfect photoshoot spot. Long Hunter State park offers many great trails. I recommend looking at them on the AllTrails app to find your perfect one. Click HERE to view some of the trails featured on AllTrails.

Photoshoot location 4 : Cummins Falls State Park

This gorgeous location is located in Cookeville, Tn and is approximately an hour and a half from Nashville. This is the perfect for that adventurous couple that enjoys hiking. Cummin Falls in known for its gorgeous waterfalls that make a stunning backdrop for photos. Please keep in mind that there is a permit required to visit the base of the waterfall. It is about $7 and must be purchased in advance. Here is the link to access your permit.

Photoshoot location 5 : Radnor Lake State Park in Nashville

Last up on my list of photoshoot locations near Nashville, Tn is Radnor Lake State Park. From the mountains to the lake views, this location would be perfect your engagement shoot. Radnor lake opens at 6:00 am and closes 20 minutes after sunset year round making it a great location for either sunrise or sunset photos.
